Bhubaneswar, July 18: Sradhanjali Samantray of Orissa has been
appointed Monday as the assistant coach of India for the U-16
AFC Championship qualifying tournament selection camp to be held at Patiala, July 20-August 28.
Earlier, Sradhanjali had been appointed as the assistant coach of the Indian U-16 team thrice. Because of her good
performance, she has been selected again.
Team announced
Biplab Samantray will lead a 16 member state squad announced by Orissa Cricket Association (OCA) Sunday for the K Thimmappiah Memorial cricket tournament to be played at Bangalore, July 22-August 18. Govind Poddar has been appointed as Biplab’s deputy. The squad will leave for Bangalore, July 20.
The squad: Santanu Mishra, Sandipa Patnaik, Abinash Saha, Govind Poddar, Biplab Samantray, Abhilash Mallick, Pratik Das, Ranjit Singh, Saurabh Rawat, Basant Mohanty, Debabrata Pradhan, Deepak Behera, Suryakanta Pradhan, Subhransu Senapati, Prashant Thakkar, Bikash Rout; Coach: Debasis Mohanty, Manager: Subrat Panda.
