Baranga: A woman has lodged a police complaint, alleging that three persons have gang-raped her at Chandaka area in the outskirts of Bhubaneswar.
According to reports, when the 26-year-old victim, who works at a private firm in Ghatikia, was returning home Sunday evening, one of her colleagues asked her to come with him to a nearby eatery.
However, she denied his offer and walked away. Her colleague, who had already hatched a plan with his two friends, followed her for some distance.
His two friends came in a car and waylaid the woman. Later her colleague and his friends abducted her and fled the spot. A few moments later, the woman fell unconscious.
When she regained her consciousness, she found her naked in a secluded house in Chandaka forest and realised that she had been gang-raped.
While searching for her clothes, she found her mobile phone and saw the three men sitting outside the house.
She managed to escape from the spot and called her family members and narrated her ordeal.
Her family members immediately informed the Chandaka police, who came to the place where she was waiting and dropped her home.
Later the victim along with her family members went to the Mahila police station to lodge a complaint. However, Mahila police advised them to file the complaint with Chandaka police following which they lodged a complaint Monday evening.
The police have detained a person in this connection and his interrogation is on.
