Berhampur: The total number of patients undergoing treatment at MKCG Medical College and Hospital in Berhampur after being tested positive from dengue has increased to 10.
According to sources, most of the residents from Ganjam work in other states. Medical authorities suspect that they contract the disease while working in other states.
“Though Ganjam is the native place of all the patients, they were working outside the State. However, after being affected by dengue, they are getting admitted to MKCG,” chief district medical officer (CDMO), Sadananda Mishra, said.
Also dengue patients from Andhra Pradesh get admitted to MKCG. Meanwhile, a dengue patient hailing from Ichhapur of Andhra Pradesh died Sunday, according to reports.
