Odisha alerts coastal districts amid cyclone forecast

Bhubaneswar: Odisha has been experiencing an increase in daytime temperatures over the last 24 hours, Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) said Saturday.

“There has been a rise in the minimum temperature at one or two places in North Coastal Odisha. The mercury was appreciably above normal at a few places in coastal and interior Odisha,” IMD informed.

There have been 33-degree or higher temperature readings in 10 districts in Odisha. The temperature has also surpassed 34 degrees in some locations.

January 27 saw the highest temperature in the state with the highest temperature recorded in Boudh at 35 degrees Celsius. The temperature in Bhubaneswar was 34 degree Celsius.
