Bhadrak: As many as 10 rooms were reduced to ashes and three cattle were burnt alive following a massive fire at Dharmasaranabindha village under Sahada panchayat in Bhadrak district early Wednesday morning.
According to reports, the fire emerged from the shed of Baikuntha Sahu around 4.30 am and three cattle were charred to death.
The flames later engulfed the house of Purushottam Sethi, gutting seven rooms and many articles worth over Rs 1 lakh.
On being informed, fire personnel from Bhadrak reached the village and doused the fire. The reason behind the fire is yet to be ascertained.
Locals have demanded necessary compensation for the victims.
