Bhubaneswar: In the second phase grading conducted by the Directorate General of Training (DGT), seven government and four private Industrial training institutions (ITIs) of Odisha have found a place in the top 100 list. DGT is an institution under the Union Ministry of Skill Development & Entrepreneurship (MSDE).
Every year the DGT conducts the grading in order to establish a quality assurance mechanism for both government and private ITI colleges. To find a place in the top 100 list, ITI institutions have to fulfil 43 parameters. The parameters are grouped under 10 segments like civil work, trades, industry connect, outcome, instructors, production centre, capacity utilisation, key compliances, special achievement and miscellaneous.
Around 27 grading parameters were categorised into five categories. Core Grade Committee of DGT has declared a final grade score of 10,765 ITIs of different states out of which 38 government and 396 private ITIs of Odisha have been placed with different grade scores.
