Kuchinda: Normal life was hit in Sambalpur district after farmer bodies of Kuchinda sub-divisional farmer’s association observed a 12-hour bandh in the district Wednesday.
Demanding immediate disbursal of input subsidy and crop insurances by the state government, the farmers’ body Wednesday observed a 12-hour bandh in Kuchinda, Jamankira and Bamra blocks of the district.
The activists held road blockades at several key points in the block leading to disruption of normal traffic. Business establishments, shops, markets, schools and colleges remained closed in the area.
