There are many hotels in the world, which are quite old. Although they change with time, there is a hotel in Japan which retains its history till now. It is the oldest hotel in the world, which is named in the ‘Guinness Book of World Records’.
The name of this hotel is Nishiyama Onsen Keiunkan. It was built in the year 705 AD by a person named Fujiwara Mahito. Around 1300 years old, this hotel is now run by the 52nd generation of his family.
This hotel is visited by people from all over the world, including many big personalities. Almost everything in the hotel is run with the help of the hot springs which makes it different and most special from other hotels.
Its closest attractions, Mount Fuji and Jigokudani Monkey Park, are two and half hours and almost four hours drive away respectively.
On one side of this hotel is a beautiful river, on the other side there is dense forest and view from the window is appealing.
The hotel has a total of 35 rooms, whose one night rental for two people is 34,720 Yen. This hotel is renovated from time to time. It was last renovated in 1997.
