Bolangir: A 15-member delegation of the BJP led by state president Samir Mohanty Tuesday met deceased lady teacher Mamita Meher’s family at her village Jharni under Turekela block in Bolangir district.
At a time when the saffron party is mounting pressure on the ruling government of Naveen Patnaik to oust Minister of State for Home Dibya Shankar Mishra for his alleged links with the main accused Gobinda Sahu and observing bandhs demanding the same, the BJP team met deceased teacher’s family members.
Notably, a four-member team of the State Commission for Women led by its Chairperson Minati Behera met the family members October 23.

Worth mentioning, the BJP is observing a 12-hour Sambalpur bandh Tuesday, demanding the scalp of the Minister of State for Home.
Notably, Mamita Meher, who worked as a teacher at Sunshine English Medium School at Mahaling in Kalahandi district, went missing October 8. The police found the decomposed dead body buried in the ground of an under-construction stadium. The police arrested Gobinda Sahu, the prime accused in the case, October 19. He confessed to have murdered the lady teacher.
