Bolangir: About 15 Odia bonded labourers, including seven women, have been rescued from Peddapalli district in Telangana Saturday.
All the labourers, hailing from Bolangir district, were working at a brick kiln, have reached Rayagada Saturday night.
According to reports, the brick kiln owner used to torture them.
The International Human Rights Commission, a voluntary organisation, intervened following the allegations of torture.
It conducted raids at the kiln and rescued the labourers.
The labour department sources said the workers had been sent to their respective houses in Bolangir Sunday morning.
