Bhubaneswar: Odisha Police, Sunday, arrested 16 middlemen from the premises of the Regional Transport Offices and hospitals in the state. More than hundred middlemen have been put behind bars following the directions of Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik to get RTOs and hospitals rid of middlemen.
The Odisha Police arrested 12 middlemen from the hospitals while four were held from the RTOs from various places. Five middlemen were held from the hospitals in Cuttack UPD, two each from Keonjhar and Kalahandi and one each from Mayurbhanj, Boudh and Nayagarh.
The police had earlier arrested 22 middlemen from the transport offices and nine from the hospitals across the state.
