Bhubaneswar: President of India Ram Nath Kovind Friday promoted at least 19 officers of Odisha Administrative Service (OAS) to the Indian Administrative Service against the available vacancies.
According to an official source, the IAS level positions were filled up in the afternoon against available vacancies as were determined by the Government of India in consultation with the State government.
In an official notification in this regard, the Union Ministry of Personnel, Public Grievance and Pensions stated that the officers as enumerated in the shortlist for 2019 will be on probation until further orders.

They will be allocated the Odisha cadre under Rule 5 (1) of the Indian Administrative Service (Cadre) Rules, 1954, the notification read.
The shortlist of OAS officers who have been promoted to IAS level included Ganesh Chandra Patra, Sashadhara Nayak, Bikash Chandra Mohapatra, Bratati Harichandan, Manoj Kumar Pattnaik, Sadananda Nayak, Mary Lakra, Dayanidhi Nayak, Srinibas Behera, Yudhisthir Nayak, Udaya Narayan Das, Sujata Sahu, Gangadhar Sahoo, Aswini Kumar Mishra, Ramashis Hazra, Sushanta Kumar Mohanty, Jyoti Prakash Das, Sitanshu Kumar Rout and Krushna Prasad Patil.
