Cuttack: The evaluation of answer sheets of Matric examinations conducted by the Board of Secondary Education, Odisha, ended Friday. The evaluation of answer sheets was carried out in 60 centres since March 25.
Board of Secondary Education (BSE) Odisha President Jahan Ara Begum said, “The evaluation was conducted properly and without any irregularity. All answer sheets will reach the board office by Tuesday. The second phase of evaluation will be carried out till the last week of April and the results will be published in May.”
She said special importance was also given to the evaluation of State Open School Certificate/Madhyama examination answer sheets.
The annual Matric examinations and State Open School Certificate/Madhyama examinations were conducted simultaneously, February 22 to March 8, 2019. Matric, State Open School Certificate and Madhyama examinations were held at 2830, 79 and 44 centres respectively.
The system of four parallel sets of questions papers for objective and subjective questions was introduced for the first time this year.
However, incidents of MIL, Mathematics and Social Science question papers going viral on social media platforms caused problems for parents and students.
