Angul: The Angul police Tuesday arrested two bank robbers from Gaya district in Bihar for looting the Indian Bank a few days ago in this district.
The police also seized 343 grams of gold, arms and ammunition from their possession. They have been identified as Om Prakash Das and Rajesh Das of Gaya.
The Angul district police formed special teams to investigate after some armed robbers looted cash and gold ornaments from Indian Bank at gun point Saturday.
During their interrogation, both of them confessed to have looted Indian Bank and Indian Overseas Bank in Angul.
They also revealed that they have committed a total of 13 bank dacoits in the last 10 years.
They were produced before the SDJM court at Sherggati in Gaya district. Steps are being taken to bring them to Odisha, it was learnt.
