2 minors among 3 held for loot in IAS officer Pranab Jyoti Nath’s house

Bhubaneswar: Acting on a tip-off, a Special Squad of Commissionerate Police arrested two juvenile and an accused on charges of burglary in the house of IAS officer Pranab Jyoti Nath.

The main accused has been identified as Aditya Prasad Sahu while the other two are minors. A case was registered based on a complaint by Nath and Sahu was produced in court. He was then remanded in judicial custody after the court rejected his bail pleas.

On the other hand, the two minors were produced in a juvenile court.

According to the case diary, the incident occurred November 21, 2018. The three barged into the quarter of Nath at Unit-8 and looted Rs 2.52 lakh, gold ornaments worth Rs 3.5 lakhs and other valuables including laptops and LED.

Police have seized all the looted money, gold and the valuables from their possession.
