Nuapada: In a tragic incident, two minor boys met their watery grave Friday while taking a bath in the village pond in Sinapali block of Nuapada district. The boys were residents of of Choura village under Sinapali police limits.
Eye-witnesses said that the boys aged seven and nine were taking a bath when they slipped into deeper waters and got drowned. Even though others present at the spot, rescued the youngsters after hearing their agonizing screams, and rushed them to the community health centre, the kids were declared dead on arrival. A pall of gloom descended on the village following the incident.
