2 sisters jump into Tel river in Bolangir, yet to be traced  

Gudvela: Two sisters reportedly jumped off a bridge into Tel river near Tusra town in Bolangir district Thursday. Even though personnel of the police and fire departments launched a rescue operation, they have not been able to trace the sisters till the time of filing this report. The siblings, both in their twenties, have been identified as daughters of a businessman of Gudvela area. The reason behind them taking the extreme step is yet to be ascertained.

According to some eyewitnesses, the two girls riding a two-wheeler parked it halfway into the bridge. They opened their slippers and jumped into the river one after the other.

Tusra IIC Joshabant Pradhan along with a team reached the spot and with the help of fire personnel launched a search. Later, the relatives of the girls reached the spot and they informed the police that they were siblings aged between 20 and 25.

The police have launched a probe, it was learnt.
