Bolangir: As much as 200 quintals of paddy were reduced to ashes after a major fire broke out at Jogisudra village under Loisingha block of Bolangir district late Saturday night.
The incident took place at a field where five farmers of the village had gathered their harvested paddy.
On being informed, fire brigade officials rushed to the spot and doused the flames.
While the cause of the fire is yet to be ascertained, past enmity is being suspected behind the mishap.
