Patna: In a bizarre incident, a 21-year-old bride was forced to marry her 65-year-old father-in-law after his son fled from the marriage with his girlfriend Sunday.
The incident was reported from Samastipur area in Bihar. According to sources, Roshan Lal’s son was supposed to marry a girl identified as Swapna.
However, his son was in a love relationship with another girl. As the groom party reached Swapna’s house for the marriage, the youth eloped with his girlfriend.
However, to keep his honour, Swapna’s father decided to hand over his daughter to his daughter’s father-in-law Roshan.
Left with no option, the girl also tied the knot with the elderly man.
