Bhadrak: Even as the daily Covid-19 caseload in Bhadrak district is showing a downward trend, the number of children infected by the virus is on the rise.
According to information shared by the district Health department, as many as 136 persons tested Covid positive in the last 13 days, starting August 17. What has emerged as a matter of concern is that 22 children were infected by the virus during the same period. Of them, 12 are girls.
The district Monday reported nine fresh cases and two deaths, taking the tally and toll to 26,005 and 135 respectively. While 25,767 patients have recovered from the disease so far, there are still 99 active cases.
