34 police personnel felicitated in Sundargarh after recovering from COVID-19

Sundargarh: 34 police personnel who recovered from COVID-19 and were discharged from NTPC COVID Hospital in Sundargarh district, were lauded by district collector Nikhil Pavan Kalyan for their bravery and fight against the deadly disease.

Kalyan tweeted, “34 COVID warriors from police fraternity have recovered and discharged from COVID Hospital, NTPC, Sundargarh, and they were encouraged and felicitated by the hospital staff in presence of sub collector and BDO Sundargarh, DPHO Sundargarh.”

All the 34 police personnel had contracted to the virus while doing COVID-19 duties at several places of the district.

While being discharged, hospital staff and Sundargarh BDO felicitated the frontline warriors by presenting flower bouquets, books on India’s freedom fighters and Cadbury Celebrations packets.

Kalyan also prayed for the best health of the 34 personnel and wished for their immediate joining of duty.

With 11 fresh cases reported from the district, the total number of cases stands at 806. Out of the total cases 126 are undergoing treatment at dedicated COVID-19 hospitals while 676 have already recovered from the disease.
