Jhumpura: Jhumpura police arrested Monday four members of a bike lifting gang after raiding different places in Keonjhar district. The raids were conducted after a complaint of a bike theft was lodged at the police station. Police have also recovered the stolen two-wheeler from the possession of the accused. The bike was stolen from a locality under Turumunga police limits.
The accused were identified as Anup Rajak (24) of Jhumpura New Bus Terminus Colony, Chandan Kumar Naik aka Pakulu (26) of Jhumpura Block Colony, Chaitu Naik (19) of Rengalabeda village under Sadar police limits and Sanjib Rajak (24) belonging to Sakchi locality of Jamshedpur in Jharkhand, Jhumpura PS IIC, Sambari Hansdah informed Tuesday. Police also informed that the four accused are historysheeters and have many cases of theft pending against them. A case (No 102/2023) has been registered against the accused and all were produced in court Tuesday. Police are also probing to find out about the involvement of others with those arrested.
