Bhubaneswar: Board of Secondary Education (BSE), Odisha announced the supplementary HSC (High School Certificate) examination results at 4 pm Monday.
Of the 25,198 students who had appeared for the exams, 10,333 have passed – a pass percentage of 41.15. The officials said the students can download their results from the website— www.bseodisha.ac.in.
BSE President Jahan Ara Begum said, “The original pass certificate, migration certificate, fail marks memorandum, school’s tabulation register and school leaving certificate will be provided to the zonal offices by July 29 and after that the schools can collect them.”“Students can apply for rechecking at their zonal offices concerned during office hours from July 23 to August 7,” she added.
Providing details of the exams conducted between June 22 and 29, controller of examinations Nihar Ranjan Mohanty said, “Altogether 26, 668 students had filled the forms, of which 1,470 didn’t take the exams. Altogether 25,198 students appeared including 1,974 compartmental candidates. Among them, results of three students have been withheld due to subject mismatch between OMR and subjective. Another 82 students have been booked under malpractice.”
He summed up saying, “So, we published a total of 25,113 results today. 10,333 candidates have passed thus, the pass percentage stands at 41.15.”
While no candidate got through with A1 grade, two candidates received A2 and 106 students secured B1. “All these students can now take admissions in Plus II colleges, which is why we didn’t delay the process of the supplementary exams,” he pointed out.
Mohanty said, “In the Remarks column of the website, we have also given the list of 194 students who can appear for the compartmental exams in 2019.”
Results of the 26,671 students, who had applied for rechecking of Annual High School Examination results, have also been published on the website.
