4th-batch of Agniveers pass out of INS Chilka

Chilika: Adding yet another feather to its cap, the INS Chilka Friday held the Passing Out Parade (POP) of the fourth batch of Agniveers.The event marked the culmination of 16 weeks of rigorous naval training across all verticals. Reportedly, 1889 Agniveers, including 214 women, took part in the parade. This event was preceded by a wreath laying ceremony to Bravehearts at the Chilka War Memorial by the Chief of Naval Staff (CNS) Admiral Dinesh K Tripathi. During the valedictory ceremony, CNS Tripathi honoured the Shivaji Division with a championship trophy while the runners-up trophy was conferred to Arjun Division. A bilingual trainee magazine of INS Chilka, Ankur, was also unveiled on the occasion. Moreover, Tripathi awarded meritorious Agniveers with prestigious awards. The event was also attended by Vice Admiral V. Srinivas, Vice Admiral Rajesh Pendharkar and others.
