5: Ross Taylor

The Kiwi middle order batsman has already achieved fame for his knack of dealing with the shorter deliveries. The swashbuckling right-handed batsman took charge on one such delivery when he smashed a 119m long six against Chennai Super Kings.

Nicknamed as the walking assassin, Robin Uthappa smashed one of the longest sixes in IPL history when he lashed out a 120m six off a length delivery from CSK’s Dwayne Bravo.

It is no wonder that this Aussie wicket keeper/batsman features in this elite list of longest six. One of the finest and aggressive openers of all time, Gilchrist brutally hit a monstrous 122m long six over the deep midwicket.

 

2.Praveen Kumar.

Praveen Kumar who gets his place into the team as a regular seamer, has brought himself into this list by hitting a massive 124 m long six while batting down the order for KXIP. The bowler who gulped the pain of being smashed for the second longest six was no other than Mumbai Indians player Lasith Malinga.

 

Albie Morkel

The South African all-rounder while playing for CSK, took charge on Pragyan Ojha when he slogged it over deep midwicket for the longest six ever in IPL history- 125 meters. The record was set in the inaugural season and is yet to be broken.
