The pending promotions will be cleared by the end of August, he added. Last year, the state Cabinet had approved the restructuring of Odisha Elementary Education Service Cadre to give more promotional opportunities to the teachers and headmasters working in Elementary Education Service.
The restructuring will provide scope for at least three promotions to the teachers. New posts of Senior Teacher, Graduate Teacher and Senior Headmaster of Primary Schools have been created and the number of posts of Headmasters of Upper Primary Schools has been increased.
The School and Mass Education department has already started the ground work and all the required formalities would be completed within the stipulated time frame, Dash added.
