5T Secy reviews projects in four Sundargarh blocks

Bhubaneswar: On the second day of his two-day visit to Sundargarh, 5T Secretary VK Pandian Sunday reviewed various developmental projects in Rajgangpur, Hemgir, Balisankara and Tangarpali blocks.

Pandian started his visit by offering prayers at Shiva temple at Ghoghar in Rajgangpur block. There he interacted with priests and other stakeholders, inviting suggestions from them on various aspects of the transformation of the shrine. He directed the authorities to take steps for development of the periphery of the temple, including provisions for a parking place.

The 5T Secretary then visited the Community Health Centre (CHC) of Rajgangpur, which is undergoing a transformation under the Ama Hospital Yojana. He interacted with the doctors and staff of the hospital as well as visiting patients while also inspecting the ongoing development works and directing the persons concerned to ensure timely completion of the works.

He then proceeded to the railway overbridge at Rajgangpur. Reviewed the progress of construction work and asked the officials to expedite the land acquisition process by removing the bottlenecks by ensuring proper coordination among all stakeholders.

To interact with the enterprising members of Mission Shakti, Pandian visited Mission Shakti Café at Hemgir.

Pandian then proceeded to the Panchayat Samiti Junior College, Hemgir, and interacted with the principal and lecturers there asking the college authority to create a comprehensive development plan with smart classrooms and library.

Visiting Balisankara, he went to the Government SSD Girl’s High School, Tileikani, interacting with the teachers and staff and asked the authorities to ensure adequate availability of staff and manpower at the school.

During his visit to the Government Women’s College, Sundargarh, he discussed with the principal, lecturers and staff about various issues and asked them to take immediate steps for the provision of smart classes, e-library and laboratories.

The 5T Secretary also visited Gurlijore Nallah MIP, Sundargarh, where he enquired about the purpose and benefits of the project, asking the concerned authorities to take immediate steps for repair, renovation and restoration of canal & dam for better irrigation facility.
