7 healthy tips to stay fit this summer

Compared to other seasons, working out during summers is always a pain given how hot and humid the weather becomes.

But exercise is a very important part of our daily routine and according to some studies, the benefits of exercising disappear if the body remains inactive for four to six weeks.

As a result the immunity power decreases, stress hormones begin to grow and also chances of heat stroke and many types of infections increases.

Therefore, workout must be done regularly but some precautions should also be taken. There should be a balance between diet and exercise.

Here are the tips to stay fit this summer

Morning exercise

The morning is always the best time for workouts in summer. Intense physical activities should not be done between 10 a.m. and 3 p.m. as the glare of the sun may harm your body.

 Smart Exercise

Instead of heavy exercise, do stretch or yoga. Keep the exercise’s intensity low if you are doing it in open. Try to do most of the exercises at home or gym.

Take out time for yourself

Don’t be addicted to AC and stay away from it so that your body can balance it with external temperature.

According to experts, it can take four to 14 days for the body to adapt to the weather.

Liquid Diet

To maintain salt in your body, it is important to drink water before and after workout. Reduce or avoid the intake of alcohol and any sugary beverages in this season.

Wear right dress

Wear loose cotton or sleeveless clothes. Experts advise wearing light coloured clothes during workouts.

Avoid protein at first

Do not take protein or any kind of supplements before workouts. Heavy sweating may induce thirst but protein shakes are best drunk after workout.

Say no to energy drink

Avoid energy drinks during exercise. These drinks have high glucose content and will be used up by your body pretty quickly. It is always better to drink water.
