Mohana: Seven Maoists surrendered before Adaba police in the presence of Judicial Magistrate First Class Manash Panda here in Gajapati district Saturday.
They were identified as Digambar Badamajhi of Sapalaguda, Krishant Badamajhi, Palna Badamajhi, Darpan Patmajhi, Paikala Badamajhi, Ferad Patmajhi and Tarcha Patmajhi.
The seven had joined the left wing extremists in 2002 and were involved in many violent activities including the abduction of Jagat Uthansingh of Mobili village. They were remanded in judicial custody.
