Jajpur: In a shocking incident, a 70-year-old man was Tuesday arrested for allegedly raping a minor girl at Bari area in Jajpur district the district.
The accused has been identified as Padmanabh Panda, a resident of Chandanpur village in the district.
According to sources, the elderly man has allegedly raped the minor girl after finding her alone. Later, the victim narrated her ordeal to her parents following which a complaint was lodged on Monday.
Based on the complaint, the police registered a case (34/19) and arrested the accused. He has been forwarded to court after a medical test.
