Jajpur: In yet another incident, a seven-year-old girl was allegedly raped by a 72-year-old man at Vyasanagar in Jajpur Road Wednesday night.
A case has been registered at Jajpur Road police station in this regard.
As per the complaint lodged by the girl’s elder sister, the accused identified as Sashadhar Barik managed to take the minor girl to his house on the pretext of offering chocolates and later raped her.
Acting on the complaint, police arrested the accused following raids. Meanwhile, the girl has been sent to hospital for medical examination.
