Puri: The Shree Jagannath Temple Administration (SJTA) Tuesday served notices on nine Srimandir servitors with regard to the delay in the performance of several rituals at the temple December 28, last year.
The temple administration has asked the servitors to submit their replies within seven days.
The SJTA has served the notices after examining the CCTV footage and recording the statements of several security personnel and Srimandir officials.
Notably, the servitors had refused to perform rituals December 28 to protest an alleged police attack on one of their colleague. As a result, several rituals of the deities could not be performed on time. Moreover, the presiding deities were left without any offering of Prasad for 14 hours.
