Koraput: Vigilance raids were held simultaneously on the residence and office of Shiba Prasad Bhol, executive engineer of the Rural Water Supply and Sanitation (RWSS) in Jeypore under Koraput district Wednesday. He is accused of being highly corrupt and amassing huge wealth disproportionate to his known sources of income.
Three Vigilance teams under the leadership of DSP Nirmal Chandra Mohanty conducted raids at ten places including Bhol’s ancestral home, office, in-laws’ house and his residence in Jeypore.
Bhol’s paternal house at Odamba village under Gop Tehsil in Puri district and his wife’s Kalyan Mandap at Kusumpur were among the ten locations searched. The total assets of the EE are likely to run into crores.
