Bhubaneswar: The entrance examinations for admissions into several teacher training courses will go completely online from this academic year.
“The tests for admissions into Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed), Bachelor of Education (B.Ed), Bachelor in Hindi Education (B.H.Ed), Bachelor in Physical Education (B.P.Ed) and Master of Philosophy in Education (M.Phil in Education) will be held online,” reads a notification of Directorate of Teacher Education and State Council of Educational Research and Training (SCERT).
Students can visit www.sme.odisha.gov.in, www.samaodisha.gov.in or www.scertodisha.nic.in and register themselves by June 20. Detailed information on several courses are available in the mentioned websites, it further reads.
The entrance tests for the courses will be held on different dates. Examinees will be intimated about the venue, date and time of the tests through email or text messages, the notification said, adding mock tests will be conducted in order to help prepare the students before the entrance exams.
The directorate has requested the examinees to go through the information brochure before registering themselves for the entrance tests.
