Jeypore: Police Saturday night seized over a quintal of ganja and arrested seven persons near Padua here in Koraput district.
Acting on a tip-off, a night police patrolling team intercepted two cars near Padua and seized the banned substance stuffed in a number of packets after searching both the vehicles.
The ganja was reportedly being transported from Padua to Angul district.
In a similar seizure, June 23, police arrested a person named Kartik Bagh on charges of smuggling over 121 kg of ganja near this town in the district.
