Cuttack: At least two persons were injured and one of them sustained critical injury after an unidentified vehicle hit a moped and a cycle on NH-55 near Choudwar Friday.
The identification of the victims has not been ascertained yet.
As per the report, the victims were returning home after some work in Manguli area Friday morning when the mishap took place. While crossing the Nuntikiri-Gandhanadi bridge on their vehicles, driver of a speeding unidentified vehicle lost control over the wheels and struck them from behind before speeding away towards Choudwar.
The injured victims sustained critical head and chest injury in the accident and were bleeding profusely.
They were later rushed to SCB Medical College and Hospital in Cuttack by Choudwar police where one of the victim’s condition deteriorated.
Police have started investigation in the case and are trying to trace the truck involved in the crash.
