Bhubaneswar: Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik Thursday approved 777 projects worth `17.58 crore for 102 Gram Panchayats (GPs) of six blocks in six districts under Ama Gaon Ama Bikash (AGAB) programme.
While interacting with the elected representatives through videoconferencing, Naveen approved the projects for Lanjigarh (Kalahandi), Tureikela (Bolangir), Rengali (Sambalpur), Tikabali (Kandhamal), Bahalada (Mayurbhanj) and Nuagada (Gajapati).
Of the total amount, `3 crore has been sanctioned for execution of 219 projects in 25 panchayats of Lanjigarh block while `3 crore has been approved for 150 projects in 19 GPs of Tureikela block, `3.77 crore for 157 projects in 16 panchayats of Rengali block and `2.53 crore for 85 projects in 11 GPs of Tikabali block.
Similarly, the Chief Minister has allotted `3 crore for development of 117 projects in 12 GPs of Bahalada block and `2.28 crore for 58 projects in 19 GPs of Nuagada block.
With this approval, 30,593 projects costing `746.72 crore have been sanctioned under AGAB programme for 3,299 panchayats of 145 blocks.
