Koraput: An Entrepreneurship Development Programme (EDP) organised by District Industries Centre, Jeypore, has attracted 30 candidates.
Sponsored by the Directorate of Industries, the 12-day programme is going on at the training centre of the Assistant Agriculture Office seminar hall.
Udaya Chandra Tripathy, General Manager, DIC (K)-Jeypore, inaugurated the programme. He said in the present scenario youths should be self motivated as the country needs more youth entrepreneurs to make it strong and powerful.
Tripathy apprised the trainees of the state government’s schemes for imparting training in sectors such as trading, service and manufacturing. Funding under the schemes ranges from one lakh to one crore rupees.
Raghunath Patnaik, Lead Bank District Manager, Koraput, spoke about the PMEGP and KVIC schemes, subsidy and loans.
Biswaraj Ratha, District Agricultural Officer, explained the features of different schemes in agro-food processing sector and “Mukhya Mantri Krushi Udyog Yojna.” Pritish Kumar Behera, IPO, DIC, coordinated the programme.
