Bhawanipatna: The Kalahandi Vigilance unit Monday conducted simultaneous raids on the offices and residences of at least two officials in the district for allegedly amassing assets disproportionate to their known source of income.
A team of anti-corruption bureau officials led by Bhawanipatna Vigilance DSP Satyaban Mahananda raided the house and an ash bricks factory of Soil Conservation Overseer of both Narla and Madanpur Rampur Pitabas Mahakud at Sripali village. Various documents were verified.
Thereafter, a search was conducted at his residential three-storied building at Paikpada. His daughter’s residence at M Rampur along with both offices located at Narla and M Rampur have also been searched.
Meanwhile a separate Vigilance team conducted simultaneous raids at the office and residence of Kesinga block Assistant Engineer Basudev Moharana.
The residence of Moharana located at the Irrigation Colony of Bhawanipatna town, paternal house at Paikapada, his father-in-law’s house at Junagarh, a three-storied building and two duplexes at M Rampur along with his office chamber at Kesinga were raided.
