Bhubaneswar: Odisha Tourism pavilion garnered praises from Ambassador of India at Malaysia, Mridul Kumar, on the closing day of PATA-2018 held at Langkawi in Malaysia.
He expressed his happiness on the presentation of Odisha Tourism at Pacific Asia Travel Association (PATA) and was impressed with the current efforts being made in promoting Odisha as a tourist hub.
The three-day event witnessed a series of business-to-business meetings where each co-exhibitor interacted with various tour operators visiting Odisha Tourism stalls.
Odisha Tourism pavilion was adorned with the Odisha Hockey Men’s World Cup Bhubaneswar- 2018 branding.
The sports tourism campaign— ‘Odisha by Morning, Hockey by Evening’ was praised by all the visitors as well.
Tourism secretary Vishal Dev said, “It was a pleasure for us at Odisha Tourism to participate in PATA. Odisha is quite popular among South East Asian population because of the Buddhist circuits and good connectivity. Our aim is to attract more people to visit and experience Odisha. We want to change the perception of our state among foreigners and such events are great platforms to reach out to potential tourists.”
