Puri: The 12th century Shree Jagannath Temple Tuesday took a leap into the digital world launching its e-office system which is expected to make work easier and faster.
An elated Shree Jagannath Temple Administration (SJTA) administrator Pradipta Kumar Mohapatra said now processing files will be easier than ever.
Inaugurating the system, Mohapatra said, “Using the facility, I can process files even sitting at Bhubaneswar. All work at the temple office will be done through e-office by 2019.”
Mohapatra also advised the temple officials not to panic over the new system. “Currently, almost 90 per cent of work at the state Secretariat is being done through the digital system. We also need to adapt with the changing technology. If one tries, s/he can gain mastery over the system in 10-15 days,” the SJTA administrator said, adding that the facility would help reduce the number of physical files at the record room.
The digital workplace solution, which is managed by National Informatics Centre, will streamline the workflow and bring in transparency in the temple affairs, sources said, adding that there would be no fear of files going missing or being eaten away by termites.
