Binjharpur: A couple allegedly committed suicide by consuming poison following the death of their seven-year-old son at Udrang village near Binjharpur in Jajpur district Wednesday night.
They were identified as Pradeep Jena (30) and Prabhati Jena (28).
Their son Om was suffering from Thalassemia since birth. Every month he used to receive blood at Jajpur district headquarters hospital. However, he died last Monday.
The couple was under severe depression following the death of their son.
The neighbours rushed the couple to the DHH where the doctors declared them brought dead.
