Bhubaneswar: Vagdevi Literature Trust organised a programme Pranam Bapu, which was attended by more than 70 renowned poets of the state, at KIDS hospital here Friday.
The participants offered their tribute to the Father of the Nation through a multilingual poetry recitation session to commemorate his 150th birth anniversary.
The programme was inaugurated by Padmashrree Bhabani Charan Pattnaik. He reiterated the importance of Gandhian era and insisted that Gandhian philosophy and his vision of modern India should be practised for uplift of the country. Vice Chancellor of KISS University Harekrushna Satpathy was the guest of honour.
A panel discussion was coordinated by noted Gandhian and Encyclopedist, Deepak Kanungo. Songs loved by Bapu were played by noted singers and musicians of the state.
