Mathili: Anti-Maoist posters condemning the killing of Ananta Bhumia of Barubeda village under this police station limits in Malkangiri district October 23 by the red rebels after branding him as a police informer surfaced at Kamarpalli village in the district Thursday.
The posters were found pinned on the trees on both sides of the road connecting inaccessible Mahupadar and Kamarpali under this police station limits. An outfit, Sampurna Hinsha Mukta Abhiyan, signed the posters.
“The red rebels who killed Ananta would not be spared and would be paid in same coin,” the posters read.
“Ananta worked for peace in Mathili. What led the Maoists to kill him? They are finding soft targets in innocent tribal youths to terrorise locals. If they think they are getting rid of obstacles on their path, they have got another think coming. This brutality would not be tolerated,” a poster read.
“All should join to make a Maoist-free Mathili,” it urged.
Through the posters, convenor of the Abhiyan, Bharat Bhushan, also urged people to observe October 23 as Anti Maoist Day.
While the villagers are still struggling to come out of the Mao fear after Ananta’s murder, the posters have left them at the crossroads.
