BHUBANESWAR: Artist Network Promoting Indian Culture (ANPIC) held an ‘exchange of ideas in art’ programme at Delhi Public Scool, Kalinga here Saturday.
Several artists from 14 countries like Australia, England, Spain and China as well as 8 Indian states showcased their talent and created beautiful works of art while also witnessing different aspects of Indian art especially of the state by the teachers of DPS Kalinga.
‘The Exchange of Culture through Art’ programme is the brainchild of Managing Trustee of ANPIC Sashanka Mohapatra. The students of DPS Kalinga enthralled these artists by their scintillating Odissi performances. Trustee, DPS Kalinga Mala Mishra lauded the efforts of Mohapatra in his attempts to bridge the cultural gap between India and the world.
Speaking on the occasion Sashanka Mohapatra, Managing Trustee, ANPIC, said, “This programme is a unique initiative of ANPIC. Here, we want to instill the importance of art and culture among the younger generation as these people are the future of this nation.”
ANPIC is an Odisha based socio-cultural organization with a mission to promote social integration through art and culture. ANPIC in collaboration with Bhubaneswar Development Authority (BDA) has organised India’s first-ever International Public Art Symposium (IPAS), where well known artists from 14 countries have participated and are creating sculptures from waste materials, which will be permanently displayed at an Open Air Sculpture Museum near Kalinga Nagar November 20, 2018.
