Bhubaneswar: East Coast Railway (ECoR) Inter-Divisional Cultural (Drama) competition concluded at Rail Auditorium here Saturday wherein the ECoR headquarters team emerged as the champion.
ECoR general manager Purnendu Sekhar Mishra gave away the prizes to the champion and other teams.
Mishra praised the artistic talent in the railway employees. He said healthy competitions like this are essential part of the railway tradition. It encourages the employees and provides a platform to showcase the in-house talent, apart from providing entertainment.
A total of five teams – Khurda Road, Sambalpur and Waltair Divisions, Mancheswar Workshop and ECoR Headquarters performed during the event. ECoR headquarters artistes staged a play named ‘Andha Yug’ which bagged the championship award.
Principal chief personnel officer of ECoR Prakash Kumar Nayak delivered the welcome address while Manoranjan Mishra, Sr. AFA, offered vote of thanks.
