Sambalpur: Police have finally cracked the reason of the death of Sambalpuri actress, Simran Singh, who was found dead under a bridge Thursday was handed over to the police, reports said.
The post-mortem report of Simran’s death was handed over to police by medical authorities. As per the report, she succumbed to injuries on her head. The report has been given to Jharsuguda police, informed Burla police station IIC.
The post-mortem report reveals Simran sustained severe injuries on her head and died. However, the police team launched further probe into different angles.
The police Saturday arrested her husband Ranju Suna in connection with the death. A case under POCSO (Protection of Children from Sexual Offences) Act has been registered against him.
Simran’s family members have alleged that she was murdered and suspected Suna’s involvement in the killing. While they have filed a case at Jharsuguda police station, another case of unnatural death has been registered at Burla police station in connection with Simran’s death.
Suna and his family members allegedly tortured her mentally and physically. She had come back to her family in Jharsuguda December 7 and staying with her family members since then.
Earlier, a voice message of Simran, reportedly sent to her husband went viral a few days back. Simran is heard crying and addressing how she has completely broken down in the message.
“Everyone is saying that I am doing drama but I am not. I have completely broken down and I cannot handle myself anymore. You should have asked me once to leave everything and come home with you and I would have done it for you. I wish you had tried to put in some effort in the relationship, but you didn’t,” Simran says in the voice message.
Though the entire conversation between the two was not clearly audible, Siman’s friend, who is yet to be identified, was heard saying ‘why don’t you die.’
Simran sent the one minute 18 seconds long audio message through Whatsapp before she was found dead.
On January 3, she was found dead under a bridge of Mahanadi river near Goira Matha under Burla police limits in Sambalpur.
