Cuttack: A special winter camp of National Service Scheme (NSS) volunteers of Biswanahakani Higher Secondary School under Tangi-Choudwar block of Cuttack district concluded here recently. Students led by NSS officer Sarojini Devata took a pledge to boycott plastic products during the weeklong camp. The Chief District Veterinary officer Dr Aswini Kumar Nayak and block veterinary officer Dr Antaryami Khuntia inaugurated the camp in the presence of principal Sachidananda Pradhan. The students took up various social work projects in the camp. A cattle treatment camp was organised at Garudagaon village where Red-Cross life member Susant Kumar Sahu imparted training on primary treatment of cattle while CRCC Santosh Kumar Sethi gave a talk on Right to Education Act. Social activist Manas Ranjan Sarangi spoke on conducting social service through use of social media.
