Deogarh: A security guard was allegedly shot dead by miscreants near Deogarh Superintendent of Police (SP’s) office here in this district, Friday.
The deceased was identified as Rajendra Balua. He was working as a security guard at the Deogarh district headquarters hospital.
On being informed, the police reached the spot and recovered the body with bullet injuries and sent the body to a local hospital for post-mortem. Preliminary investigation suggests Rajendra has been murdered.
According to sources, Rajendra and his elder brother Sachidananda had an argument over some trivial issues. However, Rajendra was found dead Friday morning with bullet injuries on his body.
While the exact reason behind the murder of the security guard is yet to be ascertained, police have launched a probe into the matter.
