Baripada: In a shocking incident, a seven-year-old girl was allegedly raped by a 14-year-old boy in Bangiriposi area of Mayurbhanj district.
Though no complaint was lodged by the girl’s kin, the police started an investigation Saturday. The condition of the victim was stated to be critical.
She was admitted to the Bangiriposi hospital and later shifted to the Pandit Raghunath Murmu Medical College and Hospital here.
The girl was going to bathe when the boy took her to a desolate place and committed the crime. She was rescued by her kin several hours after the crime.
